To a world like a paradise. Staying in a yurt in the off-season.

I stayed in a coveted yurt in Bokonbayeva Village, Kyrgyzstan.

This place is within walking distance from Lake Issyk-Kul, so the scenery is spectacular.

Because it was the off-season, I had it arranged the day before at the local CBT, and I was the only tourist there, but I was glad to be able to make friends with the scary-looking guard dog.

As dusk approached, the yurt transformed into a fantastical landscape.

At night, the sky was filled with stars. It was the best solo trip.
