Sayram Lake, also known as Sailimu Lake, is a stunning alpine lake located in the western part of China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, near the border with Kazakhstan.

It is the largest and highest alpine lake in Xinjiang, sitting at an altitude of about 2,073 meters (6,801 feet) above sea level.
