Huizhou Ping'an Mountain, which everyone’s been asking about, is definitely worth a visit! Just a 1-hour drive from the city, no need to squeeze onto the high-speed train, perfect for a weekend getaway~
At the entrance, take the sightseeing bus down to the foot of the mountain to save 20 minutes of boring walking! The main route includes the Ping'an Gorge Waterfall Cluster and the Glass Bridge. Walk along the wooden plank path, listening to the sound of flowing water all the way. The temperature feels 5°C cooler in summer, and photos taken under the waterfalls come out amazing. Remember to wear light-colored clothes!
The glass bridge isn’t very long, but it’s suspended over a deep mountain gorge. On sunny days, the view is stunning, and even those afraid of heights can walk across slowly~ There’s a small viewing platform at the top of the mountain where, if you’re lucky, you can see a sea of clouds. Every snapshot is a healing scene.
Tips: Wear non-slip sports shoes! There are many mosquitoes in the mountains, so remember to bring mosquito repellent. The farmhouse dishes at the scenic area entrance are very authentic; we recommend trying the Hakka stuffed tofu~
Don’t stay home this weekend! Come here to refresh your lungs and relax—it’s way better than crowded popular spots, tested and proven!
