As you walk up the mountain path leading to the peak of Taejongdae, Taejongsa Temple quietly reveals itself. Built in 1976, this temple belongs to the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and is notable for its striking white main hall harmonized with the blue sea. Particularly during summer, the scenery of the temple surrounded by approximately 5,000 hydrangea bushes of 30 different varieties creates a breathtaking spectacle.
In early summer, Taejongsa becomes a feast of colors that leaves visitors in awe. Walking through the hydrangea forest path, painted in shades of pink, white, and blue, and entering the temple feels like stepping into a small starlit forest. When the clear breeze blows, the hydrangea leaves gently sway, giving you the feeling of being warmly welcomed.
📍 119 Jeonmang-ro, Yeongdo-gu, Busan
🎟️ Admission: Free (However, entry to the entire Taejongdae recreational area may require a fee)
