Es Trenc: Mallorca’s Wild Paradise You Shouldn’t Miss

If you’re visiting Mallorca and looking for a beach that feels untouched and natural, Es Trenc is your dream come true. With its white sand, turquoise water, and protected dunes, it’s often called the “Caribbean of the Balearics” — and for good reason.
🏖️ Morning Calm - Beat the Crowds: I arrived around 9:30 AM, when the beach was peaceful and the sea like glass. There’s paid parking nearby, then a short walk through pine trees and dunes.
Tip: Bring water, snacks, and an umbrella if you plan to stay on the more natural side — facilities are limited.
🐠 Swim, Float, Repeat: Es Trenc is perfect for long swims, floating, and even snorkeling in its shallow, clear waters. There’s a mix of naturist areas and family-friendly spots, so it feels relaxed and open to everyone.
🍽️ Lunch with Beach Vibes: I had lunch at S’Embat, a beach bar with a boho vibe, live music, and fresh grilled fish. If you prefer something low-key, a picnic under the dunes is also a great idea. #deliciousfood
🍨Sweet Stop in Colònia de Sant Jordi: On the way back, I stopped in the nearby seaside village of Colònia de Sant Jordi, just a short drive from Es Trenc. I treated myself to a homemade ice cream at The Colonial — a charming local spot right by the sea. Their seasonal flavors are amazing, and sitting on the terrace with a cone in hand was the perfect way to end the day.
🌅 Sunset Magic: Before leaving the beach, I made sure to stay for sunset - and it was unforgettable. The golden light, calm sea, and quiet atmosphere made it the perfect end to a perfect beach day.
✍🏼Tips for Your Trip:
- 45 min drive from Palma (near Campos)
- Arrive early for parking
- No sunbeds in the natural zone - bring a towel
- Bring supplies, especially in high season
- Respect the environment - it’s a protected area
If you want to escape the busy resorts and experience the wild side of Mallorca, Es Trenc is the place to go. A day here is all about nature, simplicity, and beauty — and it might just become your favorite beach in Spain.
