I stayed at a hotel in the heart of Jakarta. It was within walking distance of Monas, the National Monument, making it a perfect base for sightseeing.

The hotel's design felt modern yet classic. I personally liked the warmth of the abundant use of wood.

There is also a rooftop restaurant where you can relax in the cool breeze at night.
