An old street with a profound historical and cultural heritage.

Changsha Xianinggang Old Street is located at the northernmost end of Changsha, adjacent to the Xiang River. It is an old street with a deep historical and cultural background.

- Historical Origin: Xianinggang was formerly known as "Xianigang." The Qing Dynasty's "Xiangcheng Fanggu Lu" records its origins. During the Republic of China period, Li Hequan, principal of the local Li Family Women's Vocational School, proposed that the characters "Xiani" were inappropriate and suggested replacing them with the homophone "Xianing," which was later adopted by the government and has been used for over 80 years.

- Overview of the Old Street: The old street is 343 meters long and was once a famous ferry terminal and commercial street in Changsha. At that time, it gathered more than 60 specialty shops such as Suijitang Pharmacy and Tongfeng Dyeing Workshop, bustling with activity. Later, with the advancement of industrialization and urbanization, the old street gradually declined. Today, most buildings are "empty with no people," but some historical traces remain.

- Cultural Relics: The old street currently has five immovable cultural relics, including the former site of the Xianinggang Food Station and its backyard ancient well, the backyard ancient well at No. 127 Xianinggang, the former site of Shiji Shop, Wang Family Mansion, and the former site of Fengji Shop and its backyard ancient well. Among them, the Wang Mansion is a representative modern Republic of China-era building in Changsha, with its bright yellow courtyard walls standing out prominently on the old street.

- Unique Scenery: The buildings on the old street are mostly wooden structures and mixed construction houses, with weathered walls and damaged wooden beams, giving a strong sense of history. In addition, pottery lions produced in Tongguan can be seen everywhere on the roofs and eaves of residential houses, adding a unique charm to the old street.

- Filming Location: Due to its simple and tranquil atmosphere, Xianinggang Old Street became one of the filming locations for the TV drama "Crime Crackdown," attracting many tourists to visit.
