After all, I didn't miss it, the wintersweet flowers in Yanyuan are blooming.

I go to Yanyuan to appreciate plum blossoms almost every year. Yanyuan was under renovation before, and I thought I missed the plum blossom season this year. Who knew that it would be open to the public on January 21, 2025.
Moreover, Yanyuan is now open to the public free of charge, without the need to purchase tickets, and is now connected to the Party History Museum.

Yanyuan, located at No. 18 Xinfeng Lane, Changshu City, is a garden named after its rockery.
This small but exquisite Jiangnan classical garden has a Huangshi rockery called "Yan Gu". Beside Yan Gu, wintersweet flowers are in full bloom, setting off the eaves.

Mengqing Lotus Temple, Tianji Returning Boat, Zhuqiu Pavilion, Shiyuan Tower... if you take a closer look, every name sounds so nice. Pavilions, towers, winding corridors and secluded places offer changing scenery with every step.
Standing on the rockery in Yanyuan, you can still see the square tower.

Yanyuan is not big, but there is a teahouse in the garden where you can sit down and have a cup of tea when you have nothing to do.
"The flowers fall helplessly, and the swallows return as if they were familiar" is it a regret or a joy?

Today, the classical gardens in Changshu Old Town, including Fangta Garden, Yan Garden, and Zengzhao Garden, are open to the public free of charge, and there are not many tourists, making them ideal places for careful appreciation.
