Hike the ancient trails of Changxing, Huzhou

🌈Attraction Features: The ruins of Chengshan Ancient City are located atop Chengshan Mountain in Guanzhuang Natural Village, Heping Village, Heping Town, Changxing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is a relic from the Eastern Han Dynasty, covering an area of approximately 120,000 square meters. The Chengshan Ancient City ruins consist of two layers, both made of earth. The outer city wall follows the mountain's contours, gentle on the inside and steep on the outside, with a total length of about 1,400 meters. The inner city wall is about 400 meters long. The city ruins preserve relics such as city gates, reservoirs, crossbow platforms, beacon towers, horse walks, drum mounds, and rolling stones. Within the ruins, there is a temple originally built in the sixth year of the Yuanjia reign of the Southern Song Dynasty (429 AD), covering an area of about 792 square meters. On the north side of the ancient city ruins, there are 10 Yuan Dynasty stone carvings. The Chengshan Ancient City ruins are a relatively well-preserved, large-scale, and culturally rich ancient city site from the late Eastern Han Dynasty in the Jiangnan region, holding significant importance for archaeological and historical research of the Two Han Dynasties and Three Kingdoms period in the Jiangnan area.

🏝️Recommended Route: Qingliang Temple (navigate to Chengshan Scenic Area, Heping Town, Changxing, Huzhou) Temple → Stone City Wall Ruins → Crossbow Platform/Beacon Tower → Peach Orchard Tea Garden → Chengshan Valley Scenic Area (end point)
💗Other tips: There is a climb on the return trip, mainly along the tracks used to transport tea leaves in other people's tea gardens and the small paths in the tea gardens. Pay attention to safety during this section and be careful not to damage the tea trees in the tea gardens.
