This is the first time I've stayed in such a high-end hotel. It's amazing!

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
The overall cleanliness is excellent, with rooms being tidy and well-maintained. During our stay, we experienced no noise disturbances, and the soundproofing was satisfactory, allowing us to fully enjoy a comfortable and peaceful environment.
🏘️Room Type/Layout:
The hotel boasts a prime location. Although it’s about a 30-minute drive from the city center, the surrounding greenery is exceptional, blending the charm of Vancouver and Singapore with the serene ambiance of Hangzhou’s Xixi Wetlands. The property resembles a large resort, similar in style to the Marriott in Nantong, with some identical design elements, making it a great value. We were upgraded to a 110 sqm Executive Deluxe Lake View Suite (market price: ¥2,300), which was thoughtfully laid out with a living area, dining table, large sofa, bathtub, shower room, and two spacious bathrooms matching the bedroom size. As a Platinum member staying on a non-weekend day, we reliably enjoyed the premium lake-view king bed—spacious and comfortable.
🛌Amenities/Facilities:
The room combines stylish design with modern technology, featuring button-controlled curtains for convenience. The Executive Deluxe Lake View Suite included welcome fruits and was well-equipped. The gym provided towels and water, while the pool was bright and spacious. The Executive Lounge on the 43rd floor offered stunning views, and a robot delivered toiletries, adding to the seamless service. The only minor hiccup was the slightly complicated operation of the hidden LED light strip at the sink, which took some figuring out.
💰Cost per Person:
The room rate was highly cost-effective, with 3,000 points earned per night during our stay.
💗Additional Tips:
- Parking is convenient, with limited above-ground spots but free underground parking.
- Check-in was smooth—the concierge assisted with luggage, and the front desk staff were friendly. If the upgraded room wasn’t ready, they provided a pass for lounge access in the meantime.
- Dining options were plentiful: the Executive Lounge served dinner (17:30–19:30) with cold dishes, salads, fruits, desserts, cakes, and soups—the rice cakes and braised goose wings were delicious, and table service was attentive. The 2nd-floor breakfast featured Chinese noodles, fried dough sticks, stir-fries, Western hot dishes, sausages, bakery items, cold cuts, cheese, ham, and local specialties like tofu skin, shredded tofu soup, glutinous rice balls, and crispy sesame pancakes.
- The gym staff were warm and helpful, and the high-floor lake views were breathtaking, overlooking the vast Xitai Lake. Service responses were quick, and free printing was available.
In summary: The Renaissance Changzhou Xinghu Hotel is an excellent choice for a stay. Opened in 2022, it’s modern, with thoughtful service, top-notch facilities, and satisfying dining and ambiance—all at great value. Perfect for both travel and routine stays, especially for Marriott enthusiasts looking to rack up stays.
