Liaoyang has a Tibetan Buddhist national treasure building: Youshun Temple

🌟Highlight features: Youshun Temple, commonly known as "Lama Temple", was built in the thirty-seventh year of the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1698), covering an area of about 17,000 square meters. It faces south and has an official architectural layout and practice. The building complex mainly includes the Hall of the Heavenly Kings, the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, the Grand Hall, and the Seven-Room Hall. The temple is majestic, and the roof forms include the curved shed roof, the gable roof, and the hip roof. The building structure is rigorous, the steps are straight, and the columns are straight, and the decoration is simple and elegant. Youshun Temple is a typical physical specimen and important physical basis for studying ancient buildings of the same era in Liaoning.

On May 25, 2006, Youshun Temple was announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

📌Tips:
1. Youshun Temple is next to Chaoyang North Pagoda, South Pagoda and Murong Street. These most important attractions in the city can be visited together as a whole. Riding a shared bicycle is the most convenient way. For parking, you can find it downstairs in nearby residential buildings.

2. The "Youshun" steep plaque on the front eaves of the Youshun Temple Archway was personally granted by Emperor Kangxi. The font is dignified, and the plaque is decorated with cloud and dragon relief sculptures, highlighting the identity of the imperial construction. Everyone can pay close attention to it.

3. In 1783, the 48th year of Qianlong, Qianlong, 73, made his fourth eastern tour, starting from Yuanmingyuan and first arriving at the Mountain Resort. On August 16, he departed from Chengde and (at the end of August) stayed at Youshun Temple in the Three Pagoda City (Chaoyang City) and inscribed the words "Tathata Wonderful Enlightenment". This animated introduction can be seen in the exhibition hall on the second floor of the Chaoyang Museum.
