💞Why We Recommend: Clean, hygienic, and attentive service
It was my first time visiting Chaozhou, and I planned a three-day, two-night trip. Since we had several kids in our group, I specifically chose Chao·Monet Garden (Chaozhou Ancient City Paifang Street Branch) for its family-friendly rooms.
The family room caught my eye on the platform because it featured a ball pit! I booked it immediately, as there are only two family rooms available at Monet Garden, and only one was left at the time. I was worried it might get snatched up if I hesitated.
After booking, I checked the reviews, which were overwhelmingly positive. Guests praised the cleanliness, excellent service, French-style decor perfect for photos, and convenient location. I was so reassured that I added a queen room and a twin room for the rest of our family.
Before arriving, I proactively contacted customer service to ask about check-in details and nearby attractions. The staff patiently answered all my questions and even sent a video guide on how to find the hotel after getting off the high-speed train. This first impression was fantastic. The customer service representative also thoughtfully explained that the front desk is on the 12th floor, requiring guests to pass through the reception area of a Home Inn and take the elevator up.
Check-in was quick and efficient. Since we arrived around noon, the front desk staff skillfully handled our check-in while arranging for a colleague to escort the elderly and children to the rooms for rest. They also provided a detailed introduction to nearby attractions, food options, and routes. With the map they provided, I quickly got my bearings in Chaozhou.
The room cleanliness deserves a five-star rating. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but the spotless condition here gave me peace of mind to let the kids play freely in the ball pit. The weather in Chaozhou was quite hot during our stay, so we often returned to the hotel in the afternoons to rest. The kids were happily entertained in the room, giving the adults some much-needed free time.
The hotel’s location is as convenient as the reviews claimed. Paifang Street, Guangji Bridge, and West Lake Park are all within walking distance. Our favorite meal of the trip, Liu Bu Goose, was just a 10-minute walk behind the hotel.
I highly recommend booking Chao·Monet Garden! If I had to point out a downside, it would be that there aren’t enough rooms 🤣. I was nervous about the limited availability and even worried it might be a scam or have poor service. But my concerns were unfounded. During check-out, I learned that the owner has opened several other themed boutique accommodations, possibly aiming to establish a high-end homestay brand. I’d love to explore more of their properties on my next visit to Chaoshan.
