Wenshu Fang is a traditional and antique street located near Wenshu Monastery in Qingyang District, Chengdu. It is a famous spot where you can feel the history and culture.
Wenshu Fang has been developed as the central tourism and leisure district of Chengdu, forming a commercial and cultural street centered around Wenshu Monastery. The first phase of development was completed in 2010, and the second phase was newly opened at the end of 2022.
This place is popular among culture enthusiasts as it houses many workshops of artisans preserving Sichuan traditional crafts such as silk embroidery, gold thread (metal crafts), and seal engraving. Additionally, there is a market for intangible cultural heritage where traditional Sichuan food and silk crafts are sold, offering plenty to see.
Thanks to its antique architectural style and cozy atmosphere, it is also famous as a photo spot. The various traditional snacks and tea houses within Wenshu Fang provide travelers with great memories.
