Sichuan, the birthplace of the ancient Shu Kingdom, is home to numerous relics of ancient civilizations. Among them, the "Jinsha Site" stands out as a key archaeological site for studying ancient Shu culture, closely connected to surrounding cultures like Sanxingdui and Twelve Bridges. The museum offers a comprehensive display, with the excavated Jinsha Site located directly beneath it.
The Jinsha Site spans a vast area and is divided into several sections, including the Ruins Hall, Exhibition Hall, Cultural Relics Conservation and Restoration Center, Cultural Exchange Center, and Garden Area. The exhibitions cover various aspects such as archaeological findings, ecological environment, daily life, religious rituals, and cultural context, providing a thorough showcase of the splendor of the ancient Shu Jinsha Kingdom.
Tickets can be purchased online for 70 RMB, and even a quick visit will take two to three hours. After exploring the museum, visitors can gain a basic understanding of Shu culture from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, especially the mysterious elements found in artifacts unearthed in the region, such as the unique and intriguing designs of figures and masks.
