.. This is an ancient temple in Chiang Rai province, built during the reign of King Mahaprom, the brother of King Kuena Thammikarat, the ruler of Chiang Mai. It is estimated to have been constructed around the year 1928 BE, during the period when King Mahaprom ruled Chiang Rai.
