Terracotta Army ☀️

In the heat of a Xi’an summer, we stepped into the vast excavation pits where thousands of silent warriors stood in perfect formation. The air inside was heavy and warm, carrying the earthy scent of clay and age. Sunlight filtered through high windows, catching on the intricate details of each soldier’s armor and expression, no two faces the same, each frozen in quiet duty for over two millennia. 🏺☀️

Outside, the summer sun blazed over rows of pomegranate trees and tourists fanning themselves with wide-brimmed hats. Vendors sold cold persimmon juice and slices of chilled melon that dripped sweet down our hands. Even in the swelter, it was humbling to stand where emperors once dreamed of immortality, the ancient figures watching over us with patient, sunlit grace. 🌳🍈🏯
