Chong Qing

Day 1: Start in Jiefangbei CBD, Chongqing’s bustling city center. Visit the Liberation Monument and explore the nearby shopping streets. Head to Hongya Cave, a riverside complex with traditional architecture, food stalls, and souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy a classic Chongqing hotpot, then take a Yangtze River night cruise for stunning skyline views.

Day 2: Visit the Three Gorges Museum and the nearby People’s Assembly Hall to learn about local history and architecture. In the afternoon, relax at Eling Park for panoramic views or visit Liziba Station, where the monorail famously passes through a building. End the day with a ride on the Yangtze River Cableway, then have dinner on Nanbin Road, known for grilled fish and spicy skewers.

Day 3: Take a day trip to Wulong Karst National Park (3 hours away) to explore its stunning limestone bridges and caves, or stay local and visit Ciqikou Ancient Town, a charming old street filled with teahouses and traditional snacks. Return in the evening to explore Raffles City Chongqing or unwind at a rooftop bar. But I went jinggangbei happy village.

Must-try foods include hotpot, xiaomian (spicy noodles), and 辣子鸡 (spicy chicken).
