เที่ยวในฉงชิ่ง Chongqing Great Hall of the People

📍 Chongqing Great Hall of the People (Chongqing Great Hall of the People, China)

🌉 We were absolutely amazed by this place. If you have the chance to visit Chongqing, a major city in southwest China known for its rugged mountains, ramps, and magnificent views of the Yangtze River, a must-see attraction is the Chongqing Great Hall of the People (重庆人民大礼堂). This is a truly remarkable landmark in Chongqing. Besides being a historical building with stunning architecture, it also reflects the prosperity and spirit of the people in the post-war era. Built between 1951 and 1954, following the end of World War II and the Chinese Civil War, the hall served as a venue for important government functions, general meetings, and cultural events. The name "People's Hall" was derived from the idea that it would serve as a center for the people. It's like the heart of the city, a place everyone knows and is proud of. 👍🏻👍🏻 The first thing that catches the eye and makes many tourists stop and gaze is its magnificent architecture. The main structure is a large circular dome, green and bright red, with intricately decorated details in a traditional Chinese style, similar to the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. This auditorium can hold over 4,000 people and is used for large meetings, art performances, concerts, and occasional Chinese operas. Surrounding the area is the People's Square, a large open space where people often come to stroll, dance, or simply relax in the evenings.
Located in the heart of Yuzhong District, a major district in Chongqing. It's very convenient to get to, as it's right near the subway station. Take Chongqing Metro Line 2 and get off at Zengjiayan Station (Great Hall of the People). It's a short walk from there.

⏰ Opening Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Open daily)

💸 Admission: Approximately 8 RMB per person for general admission.

⭐️ Rating: 9/10
