Winter at Stonyhurst

Stonyhurst is one of the most prestigious schools in the entire United Kingdom and is set in some of the most beautiful countryside in the entire country.

The grounds around the school are also open to walkers where you can explore its woodland, following streams on their way towards the meandering River Ribble at the bottom of the valley.

Along the route you can also visit the bridge which Oliver Cromwell and the New model army crossed on their route to the battle of Preston and on certain times of the year you can visit the Stonyhurst museum, the oldest in the English speaking world. #outdoors #lancashire
