Here’s your cheat sheet for 3 epic days in Daegu, Korea — blending culture, mountain vibes, and chill parks 🌄✨
Day 1:
Start with the serene Donghwasa Museum (Gongsan-dong, Daegu) for Buddhist art and history. Then stroll over to the nearby Donghwasa Temple (1 Donghwasa 1-gil, Dong-gu), open 24/7, where you’ll find stunning halls and a peaceful vibe any time of day. If you want less crowd, come early morning!
Day 2:
Hike up to Budoam (35 Dohak-dong, Dong-gu), a hidden spot for gorgeous mountain views and quiet meditation platforms. Later, hit Palgongsan Cable Car (51 Palgongsan-ro 185-gil, Yongsu-dong), open 09:30-18:00 weekdays, 09:30-18:20 weekends — ride to the top for panoramic scenery and awesome selfies! Pack layers; it gets breezy up high.
Day 3:
Chill out at Bokhyeon Park (Bokhyeon-dong, Buk-gu), open all day, perfect for picnic lunch (grab kimbap or coffee from nearby convenience stores!). Great spot to relax, people-watch, and soak in local life.
Getting Around:
Daegu Metro is fast and cheap — get a prepaid card at any station for hop-on/hop-off access. Most attractions are bus-accessible, but taxis are affordable for day trips if you’re time-crunched.
Food:
Try dakgalbi (spicy chicken stir fry) at local joints near the temples, or stop at a café around Bokhyeon Park for cold brew and pastries.
Tips:
Take cash for small temples or park snack stalls. Spring/fall weather is best; summer gets humid. No visa needed for short Korea trips if you’re from most Western or Southeast Asian countries!
