Today's theme is to see Baili Azalea.
Baili Azalea is known as "the world's largest natural garden" and is praised as the "Earth's colorful ribbon, the world's garden."
Before seeing it, I thought it was just a lot of azaleas in various colors, many varieties and colors stretching for miles. When I saw it, I was completely shocked. The azaleas I saw in Guangzhou were in clusters, short and stout. The New Year flowers bought during the festival were counted by the plant. The flowers seemed fragile because of their few and thin petals. But at Baili Azalea, what I saw were vast mountains and fields, large bushes of azaleas in various colors, blooming profusely. It was the first time I saw such azaleas: the flowers were large, composed of many small blossoms. The petals felt thick and elastic to the touch. Deep pink, light pink, white, pale yellow— the most stunning was the red, more dazzling than Chinese red, with a very pure color. We visited the two main scenic areas, Jinpo and Pudi. Because the distances between spots in Pudi were a bit far, we took a sightseeing bus. Along the way, there were constant exclamations of "wow." The mountains and trees were covered with flowers of different colors, which looked even more beautiful against the blue sky and white clouds.
The regular ticket price is 130 yuan, but we from Guangdong were exempt from the ticket fee and only paid 10 yuan each for a travel safety package. Even without the exemption, it’s worth it, extremely worth it. If you haven’t been, you must come and see it; it will definitely overturn your perception of azaleas.
