Dali is a place that has always captivated my imagination. This trip, I was especially excited about taking the cable car up to Cangshan Mountain to experience its breathtaking scenery.
Early in the morning, I set off from the ancient city of Dali by bus. After a short ride, I arrived at the starting point of the Cangshan cable car. As the cable car ascended, I gradually left the ground behind and the view opened up before me. The majestic beauty of Cangshan unfolded, with its layers of peaks resembling a series of magnificent paintings that left me feeling utterly enchanted.
Reaching the summit, the air was exceptionally fresh. Eager to explore, I wandered along the mountain trails. Along the way, I encountered many rare plants and animals, immersing myself in the wonders of nature. Standing high above and looking down at the Dali Basin, the vast expanse of rural landscape seemed to whisper the area’s long history and rich culture.
In the afternoon, I rented a bicycle and rode to the Longkan Wharf Viewing Platform. The ride was invigorating, with the gentle breeze and stunning views of Erhai Lake accompanying me. Upon arriving at the platform, I was greeted with a panoramic view of the lake, its shimmering waters reflecting the sky. The tranquil beauty of the area provided a perfect end to an eventful day.
This trip to Dali not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent scenery of Cangshan but also gave me a profound sense of Dali’s unique local culture. Whether it was the grand vistas from the mountain or the serene landscapes by the lake, everything left an indelible mark on my memory. I look forward to my next trip to Yunnan, to continue exploring this magical land.
