This summer, my friends and I

This summer, my friends and I escaped the sweltering heat and non-stop rainstorms of Beijing to spend 8 magical days in Yunnan. Part of a trip here included a visit to Dali and the the beautiful Erhai Lake - also referred to as the "mother lake" by the locals. We spent a wonderful and relaxing day exploring this stunning lake. We were blessed with blue skies, sunshine and a cool breeze as we strolled along the lake. It was wonderful to dip our feet in the cool, fresh water, relive childhood memories by skipping stones and to watch the locals and tourists posing and taking the most fabulous Instagram worthy photos. It was such a beautiful day and I 100% recommend a visit to this stunning lake if you're ever in Yunnan. If you enjoy cycling, you can also rent a bike and cycle around the lake, and like me, you can't ride a bike you can also hire a buggy or tandem to explore this beautiful lake!
