I rarely use the word "stunning" to describe a place! Yang Liping Sun Palace, an artistic dream hidden by Erhai Lake

If art had a tangible form, the Yang Liping Sun Palace Art Space would definitely be one of them. This hall that blends nature and art holds countless heart-stirring moments. Come explore it with me!

🏛️【Architectural Aesthetics: A Dreamlike Palace Growing Naturally】
The Sun Palace is located on Yujidao Island in Shuanglang, Dali, built by the shores of Erhai Lake. Construction began in 2000 and took six years to complete. The designer perfectly combined Bai ethnic architectural features with Yang Liping’s personal aesthetic to create this unique building. It uses a large amount of natural stone, whose rustic textures beautifully complement the shimmering waves of Erhai Lake. The distinctive arched design resembles the sun rising over the sea. Inside, seven staggered levels create a multi-dimensional space; walking through it, every step reveals a new scene, like a living painting. A century-old banyan tree runs through the central courtyard, its lush branches and leaves filtering sunlight into dappled patterns, as if you can hear nature whispering.

🎨【Artistic Atmosphere: Immersive】
Stepping inside, you are immediately enveloped by an artistic vibe. The space well preserves the original living environment of Teacher Yang Liping. On the walls hang paintings by modern artist Ye Yongqing, whose colors and lines weave a fantastical world; props from Yang Liping’s dance drama "Pingtan Impressions" are quietly displayed, telling stories of the stage’s brilliance. Each room features Bai-style fireplaces and furniture made from reclaimed boat wood, showcasing ethnic charm and environmental consciousness, immersing visitors in a wonderful fusion of art and life.

The waterside terrace is the perfect photo spot, with Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain as the backdrop, making it easy to capture stunning shots; in front of the Sun Palace’s mirror, the blue sky, white clouds, and reflections of the lake and buildings create a dreamy scene perfect for photos; strolling along the winding stone steps, you can also capture beautiful, natural candid moments.
