Who says Dali only has the monotonous "facing the sea"? At Ideal State, I found this HIHAT avant-garde art hotel that completely refreshed my perception of accommodation in Dali! Rock, motorcycles, graffiti, infinity pool… perfectly capturing young people's preferences, I stayed for 3 days and didn’t want to leave~
📍 Location & Transportation: Lazy-friendly, avoid the luggage nightmare
Located within Ideal State Resort Town, a 5-minute walk to Erhai Lake, super convenient for visiting popular check-in spots without detours or hassle
Self-driving fans rejoice! Arrive with your car and park right at the door, no more dragging luggage up hills like other guesthouses (I’ve avoided that pitfall for you😭)
20 minutes by car from the airport, head straight to the hotel upon landing, focusing on saving time and effort
🏠 Rooms: Living inside an art exhibition, full of smart features
The sea view king room and the rock Nirvana band room I stayed in were amazing, the style totally hit my vibe!
The space is huge, sunlight pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows, lying on the sofa is very healing, no sense of oppression at all
Every detail is artistic: vintage cassette room cards, film camera decorations, metal-style lighting fixtures, even the carpet features record elements, like stepping into a 90s rock concert
The smart features are fantastic! Just say “Xiaodu” to open curtains, adjust lights, play music, completely freeing your hands—this is how relaxing a vacation should be~
Special praise for the mattress! Perfect firmness, after three days I didn’t want to get up!
🌊 Public Areas: Every corner is a photo spot, you won’t stop taking pictures
The hotel has 7 floors, each with surprises, staying here unlocks new scenes every day!
6th floor infinity pool: a showstopper for photos! Facing Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, next to Santorini-style buildings, perfect for fresh daytime shots and stunning sunsets, no need to squeeze into trendy cafes, you can get the same sea view here with great value
Hidden jacaranda photo spot: There’s a secret corner on the 6th floor! A sea of blue-purple flowers against Erhai Lake looks like stars scattered on earth, spring here is breathtakingly beautiful (who understands Dali’s unique romance!)
Trendy public areas: The lobby has a super cool motorcycle exhibition area and arcade game zone, the basement is the “Sanctuary” bar, perfect for a cozy drink at night; there’s also an art bistro with vinyl records + industrial decor, even breakfast feels like checking into a trendy spot
Sky gym: For those worried about gaining weight while traveling, work out while enjoying the Erhai view, exercise becomes fun, and the equipment is comprehensive
🍽️ Dining: Breakfast served until noon, a blessing for late risers
Breakfast is super rich! Both Chinese and Western options, freshly made burgers, pasta, and coffee are excellent, kids will find something they love too
The key is it’s served until 12 PM! No need to rush for breakfast, wake up naturally and eat slowly, this is how a vacation should be~
There’s also a street burger truck downstairs, handmade burgers smell amazing, you can order at night if hungry, no need to go out looking for food
💡 Summary: Why recommend this place?
Avoids the typical bland freshness, with a trendy, cool artistic style full of attitude, young people won’t be bored staying here
Great location, full facilities, very thoughtful details, comfortable from check-in to check-out, no disappointments
Quieter than the Old Town on the east side of the lake, perfect for those wanting to relax, no need to squeeze into tourist spots, just lying in the hotel watching the sea is very pleasant
You can get sea views, check-in spots, and great food all in the hotel, the experience is top-notch
If you want to find a “different” hotel in Dali, this HIHAT avant-garde art hotel is definitely the first choice! After staying once, you’ll want to come back again, and next time in Dali, I want to stay here again~
