Ready for some fresh air and epic scenery in Dali? 🌿🚴♂️ My recent trip was all about cycling along serene Erhai Lake, surrounded by Bai architecture and dreamy outdoor vibes. Nature meets culture in the chillest way possible.
Must-See Spots:
– Erhai Lake (No. 1 Henan Road, Xiaguan, Dali): Open all day, year-round! This place is paradise for a cycling adventure—picture endless lake views, gentle breezes, and tons of hidden spots to rest and soak it all in. 🚲💧
– Dali Old Town: Glide through streets lined with beautiful Bai buildings. The architecture pops even more in the midday sun, so don’t forget your shades.
– Random lakeside rest stops: Seriously, pull over anywhere you see a good view, especially near groves of trees—makes for great photos and a breather.
Top Cycling Tip:
If you want max flexibility, rent a bike from a local shop (search near Dali Old Town). I found cycling lets you discover quiet, picture-perfect biking routes between villages and lakeside nooks.
Getting Around:
Cycling is gold here, but if you want to explore beyond the lake circuit, local minibuses run often. For Erhai Lake, the main access point is super easy to reach from the city center by cab or bike.
Eat & Refuel:
Don’t miss Bai-style rice noodles (“Er Kuai”) at lakeside cafes. Grab a seat outdoors to enjoy those sun-and-lake vibes!
Extra Tips:
Dali is super sunny, so pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and tons of water. No entry fees for the lake. Just roll in, ride, and relax.
