The Floating Market of Thailand

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
This floating market is located about 80km southwest of Bangkok.
It is lined with shops selling fruits, local food, souvenirs, etc., and you can shop while riding a boat!
★Access
1.5 to 2 hours by car from Bangkok
★Prices
Due to the nature of the floating market,
the prices seemed a bit high.
At the night market, you can buy a coconut plate for 100 baht, but here it was 600 baht.
If you want to buy the same things sold at a regular market at a good price, I recommend the regular market
But!! It's not often that you get to experience shopping on a boat!
Pay attention to the prices, but be sure to find a bargain!
★Boat price
The price varies depending on where you board.
If you walk along the floating market from the land and board the boat halfway, it will cost about 400 baht.
On the other hand, if you go to the boarding point where you will probably be taken by taxi, it will cost 2000 to 3000 baht.
*However, with this plan, you can also travel between residential areas and bases by boat, so the boat ride time is overwhelmingly high, and if you think of it as chartering, this price is somewhat understandable. It depends on the person, but we had the boat occupied for 3 to 4 hours.
(There are plans that include an elephant riding experience and a shooting set plan)
I didn't do my research properly in advance, so I went with a plan that included a round trip boat ride from the high boarding point to Chang Puak Camp Damnoen Saduak and an elephant riding experience for 3000 baht.
I enjoyed it for a long time, and I don't regret the elephant riding experience because it was already planned, but I do feel like I was ripped off.
If you are only interested in the floating market, I strongly recommend the cheap boat!
★ Recommended places to visit as a set
Since you took the time to travel,
I recommend visiting the surrounding tourist spots as a set!
①Chang Puak Camp Damnoen Saduak
You can ride elephants, shoot live ammunition, and take photos with tigers
②Mae Klong Market
A market with stalls lined up along the railroad tracks
The trains passing just 10 centimeters in front of you are a sight to behold!
Be careful of rip-offs and enjoy some extraordinary shopping♪
