The Proper Way to Enjoy a Seaside Resort Hotel on Dongshan Island, Zhangzhou

Junlan is a domestic hotel brand, and this time, they have newly opened a hotel on Dongshan Island. During my trip to Dongshan, I stayed at the "Dongshan Jinluan Bay Junlan Resort Hotel."

The hotel's location is quite good, situated near Jinluan Bay. It's very close to the beach, making it convenient to watch the sunrise and sunset or enjoy water activities by the sea.

I stayed in the Lan Yue King Room this time. The room layout is quite standard, with the sink, toilet, and shower area separated, which is very suitable for two people staying together. However, the shower room lacks hooks for hanging clothes or towels, which makes showering a bit inconvenient. Also, why do so many hotels nowadays use glass for the bathroom? It doesn't provide full privacy, and you can vaguely see inside the bathroom from the room, which is quite awkward! Besides the bathroom, there is only one trash can in the room, which is inconvenient. Adding another one near the sink would improve the experience.

Both my friend and I liked the bedding; it was very comfortable to sleep on. The room is spacious enough, so it doesn't feel cramped. The large glass window offers a view of the outdoor scenery, full of greenery, which is really soothing for the eyes and mind.

The hotel's buffet breakfast is served on the first floor. Perhaps because it's newly opened, the selection isn't very extensive yet. However, the dining environment is quite nice. On good weather days, this place is perfect for a visit.

There's also a children's play area on the first floor. I passed by it during check-in and saw many kids playing inside. It's truly a place kids would love, so staying at the hotel won't leave them bored.

On the second floor, there's an executive lounge, a laundry room, and a gym. The gym is a bit small but functional. However, the laundry room is not yet open.

Since the hotel is still in its early stages of operation, there is room for improvement overall. I hope they can make it even better in the future. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Dongshan.
