Home to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. The old town is also incredibly beautiful, and shopping at Dubai Mall is a breeze. Be careful of getting lost and the heat.

Prices aren't that high (though they are higher than in Japan).
The lowest observation deck at the Burj Khalifa costs ¥7,000, and the highest is well over ¥10,000.

Also, since we visited in the summer, the heat was so intense it made sightseeing difficult. The perceived temperature was close to 50°C. The average temperature drops significantly from December to February, so winter sightseeing is recommended.
