Dubrovnik: The City Where the Sea Meets the Walls

#hellohalloween

Looking at Dubrovnik from the top of its ramparts, it seems like the city is floating on the sea. Red roofs, narrow streets, the ringing of bells, and the sound of waves crashing against the old stone. Everything here is like a scene from a movie, only without the re-takes.

Dubrovnik is called the "Pearl of the Adriatic." It has survived earthquakes, wars, and the filming of "Game of Thrones," yet remains its true self—a city where every arch and staircase holds history.

📍 Location: Southern Croatia, on the Adriatic coast, near the border with Montenegro.
🕐 When to go: May to October—the sea is warm in summer, but there are many tourists; the city is especially beautiful and tranquil in spring and autumn.

What to see:
— The Old Town and ramparts (entrance fee: about €35).
— Minčeta Tower and Stradun Street are the heart of the old town.
— The funicular to Mount Srđ offers the best views of the sea and rooftops.
— Lokrum Island is a 15-minute ferry ride (€7–10).

☕ Tip: Arrive at the walls just before opening time—in the morning, the city is still asleep, and only seagulls can be heard calling to each other over the sea.
