My teammate’s birthday is coming up, so we picked a newly opened private hot spring in Chengdu, and it’s absolutely amazing! I’m sharing this detailed guide with you all~
The guesthouse is hidden in the forest around Chengdu. Open the window and you’re surrounded by lush greenery, letting the kids breathe in the fresh negative oxygen ions. The overall style is wabi-sabi with a rustic mountain vibe, featuring wooden furniture and cotton-linen soft furnishings. My favorite part is that every room has a private hot spring pool, so when you close the door, it’s your own exclusive “parent-child hot spring playground.” Soaking in the outdoor hot spring on the balcony with the whole family is incredibly relaxing.
The rooms have full underfloor heating, so you won’t feel cold at all while soaking, which is a big plus.

We left Chengdu around 1.5 hours in the morning, had “Luo Chicken🍗” for lunch at Qingcheng Mountain, then drove to the guesthouse. It was perfect timing for the kids’ nap. After waking up, they played around the guesthouse, which has a little cat named “Wowo Tou” that the kids absolutely adore 🐈.

There’s a restaurant inside the guesthouse, so if you don’t want to go out, you can order dinner there! We chose to drive 10 minutes to Tai’an Ancient Town nearby for spicy rib hot pot 🍲, which was quite cost-effective—four of us ate for just over 200 yuan.
Back at the guesthouse in the evening, we celebrated my teammate’s birthday with cake 🎂🎉. The kids were having so much fun in the hot spring pool they didn’t want to get out.

The next day after waking up, we had breakfast at the guesthouse, then drove half an hour to Panda Valley to see the pandas 🐼. Tickets were 50 yuan per person. We were lucky with the weather, and many pandas were active. My daughter even greeted the pandas with baby babbling sounds 👋.

I also recommend a place we all loved: “Jiang Ji Mama Fermented Rice” where the fermented rice noodles and dough are delicious! It’s a 10-minute drive from Panda Valley.
Bring your kids here on the weekend to soak in hot springs, breathe fresh air, and relax—both adults and kids will find it truly healing~
