It's the weekend, the season for hot springs has arrived, about 1 hour drive from Chengdu đźš—
Taking the kids to Qingcheng Mountain, we originally just wanted to hike and breathe fresh air, but unexpectedly found a family-friendly hot spring hotel hidden right at the entrance of the scenic area.
As soon as you exit Qingcheng Mountain High-Speed Railway Station,
right across is this surprisingly delightful accommodation.
Even the scenic area shuttle bus is within arm’s reach.
For a family like ours, it couldn’t be more convenient!
We booked a family room online in advance called the Little Yellow Duck Fairy Tale World.
The moment we opened the door, the kids’ eyes lit up instantly.
Inside the room, Little Yellow Duck elements were everywhere—soft pillows,
comfortable carpets, and the most attractive was the small playful tent.
The kids cheered as they crawled inside,
finding Little Yellow Duck plush toys hidden inside, hugging them tightly and refusing to let go.
The loft room we chose is very practical.
The wooden structure combined with Chinese-style design retains traditional charm
while meeting family needs.
The kids played in their own little world downstairs,
while we enjoyed a moment of peace upstairs.
This design, where everyone has their own space, makes family travel much easier.
The hotel’s hot spring pool temperature is just right, not too hot,
perfect for kids to play in.
We could also fully relax and shed all our fatigue.
This is probably the most precious moment on a trip.
Hiking around, we discovered another side of Qingcheng Mountain.
The hotel is right next to the “Qingcheng Le Dao” archway.
You can stroll through the ancient town as soon as you step outside.
We gave up a tight schedule
and chose to leisurely wander the ancient town.
With various snack stalls
and cultural shops, this casual eating and strolling mode
actually let us discover a more everyday life side of Qingcheng Mountain.
Warm tips ⚠️
If the kids have limited stamina, don’t force them to hike.
The hotel’s children’s playground is fully equipped, with slides
and a ball pit that can keep kids entertained all day.
We hiked in the morning and let the kids play in the playground in the afternoon.
Balancing work and rest made everyone happy.
