#Art Gallery #100 Ways to Travel
A must-visit art gallery in Florence, Italy #UffiziGalleria degli Uffizi. Whether you are familiar with Western art or not, you cannot miss this former world's top three most popular art museums. It houses famous paintings and sculptures from the European Renaissance. Not only is the collection rich, but the building itself is also worth seeing.
The first time I visited, I joined a tour group, and I’m glad I did. All the complicated matters such as buying tickets and making reservations were taken care of by the tour leader, who also provided a personal guide who gave in-depth and humorous introductions. It was truly a hundred times better than just seeing the sights on your own or renting a guide!
The visiting route is from the third floor down, because most of the famous paintings are displayed on the third floor, the route is smoother. The museum's stunning treasures include: The Birth of Venus, Spring, The Annunciation, etc. There are also a bunch of magnificent decorations and statues. The most famous statue of David stands at the door to welcome guests.
The ticket prices of the Uffizi Gallery have increased a lot, and there are also peak and off-seasons. The peak season is from March to October, and the ticket price is €20, while the off-season is only €12. The price difference is huge! There is an additional charge of €4 for reservations, but if you don’t make a reservation in advance, you will probably have to wait in line until the end of time!
