The Holy Cross Church is a Catholic church located in the center of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. It faces the main campus of the University of Warsaw and is one of the most famous Baroque churches in Warsaw. Construction began in 1682 and was completed in 1757. It was destroyed in 1944 and rebuilt after the war. After Chopin died in Paris, according to his wishes, his heart was brought back to Warsaw and buried in the wall of this church.
