01. Shunfengshan Park
Shunfengshan Park, one of Shunde's "New Ten Views." Located at the northwest foot of Taiping Mountain in the new urban area of Shunde, Foshan City. It can be directly reached by turning from Bigui Road to Nanguo East Road. It is about 3 kilometers away from the district administrative center. It is a modern tourist attraction integrating tourism, leisure, and entertainment. The park began construction in 1999 and opened to the public during the National Day in 2005.
It includes areas such as Taiping Mountain, Shenbu Mountain, Guipan Lake, and Qingyun Lake. The park's construction emphasizes the theme of "mountain scenery and water charm," fully considering the characteristics of Shunfengshan's real mountains and waters and its profound cultural and historical heritage. It cleverly utilizes natural spatial layout and historical relics such as the Old Fort Tower and Qingyun Tower, forming a natural and cultural landscape pattern of "green mountains, clear waters, one temple, two lakes, and two towers" based on the terrain. The main tourist axis includes two lakes (Qingyun Lake Area and Guipan Lake Area) and two towers (Qingyun Tower and Old Fort Tower), with unique scenic spots cleverly set up, forming 24 scenic areas such as "Guihai Fragrance Cluster," "Tingzhi Garden," "Buyun Path," and "Yazheng Garden."
Shunfengshan is a key project in the "green, clear, and blue" construction and urban transformation work of Shunde District, Foshan City. The construction of Shunfengshan Park will become one of the key tasks in the "Plan for Shunde District of Foshan City to Achieve Basic Modernization First," marking the century for Shunde District as a modern garden-style river port city. The three scenic areas are only part of the Chinese-style scenic areas in the park. Liaocheng Garden features Jiangnan classical garden architectural style. Xiuti Hall and Ziyun Waterfall feature Lingnan classical garden architectural style. According to the terrain, multiple garden spaces are divided using single buildings and corridors, surrounding the water body and reflecting each other, fully embodying the garden style. The main building structure is reinforced concrete, with caisson ceilings in the halls. The exposed parts of the corridors and eaves are treated according to classical garden architecture (requiring no exposed reinforced concrete after completion). The imitation ancient building method is perfected. The exterior walls are covered with imitation green bricks, and the interior walls are plastered and painted.
