Foshan's second InterContinental hotel, full of Lingnan style luxury!

Foshan's new city Poly InterContinental Hotel, jointly developed by Poly Real Estate and InterContinental Hotels Group, is the first luxury brand hotel in Fengcheng Shunde. It has been 11 years since the opening of the Qian Deng Lake InterContinental Hotel in Nanhai District in 2010, making this the second InterContinental hotel in Foshan.

🏨 Hotel Design
The hotel's design is centered around Lingnan style. The lobby's background wall depicts Foshan's tourist attractions and features two auspicious lions, one red and one blue, with the blue lion even moving. The corridor from the front desk to the guest room floors has a resting area with walls adorned with Foshan's famous ceramics, reminiscent of Nanfeng Ancient Kiln.

🎨 Lingnan Cultural Elements
Entering the hotel lobby, Lingnan cultural elements are everywhere. Two lion dance figures, Lingnan-style window patterns, murals at the check-in area, lighting in the guest rooms, and elements on the welcome cards all reflect the rich Lingnan charm.

💁‍♂️ Front Desk Service
Check-in was very fast, with immediate recognition of membership status. As an IHG Platinum member, I was upgraded to an Executive Room for free. Upon entering the room, there was a welcome fruit plate and two welcome drink vouchers.

🛏️ Guest Room Experience
This time I chose the Executive King Room, 50 square meters, located on the 19th floor. The ceiling height makes the space look larger, and the bathroom and walk-in closet are also spacious. There is a sofa in front of the bed, and the overall layout is somewhat like the Executive Suite at Foshan Poly InterContinental Hotel.

🍽️ Dining Experience
The hotel's Moonlight Western Restaurant offers buffet breakfast and dinner, as well as an à la carte menu. Yu Gong Guan is the Chinese restaurant; all Poly-owned InterContinental hotels use Yu Gong Guan for their Chinese dining, rather than InterContinental's new concept Chinese restaurant, Cai Feng Lou. The lobby lounge is connected to Moonlight Western Restaurant, a rare layout. Qia Restaurant & Bar is InterContinental's new concept steakhouse. This time, I only experienced the buffet breakfast, which was rich in variety.

🏊‍♂️ Fitness Facilities
The hotel has a gym, indoor and outdoor heated pools, and a spa. The outdoor heated children's pool provides an option for families with children, especially since the surrounding area is somewhat desolate.
