A trip to Foshan without trying Shunde cuisine is a complete waste! This time, I discovered the incredibly down-to-earth "Xia Bing Seafood," tucked away in the renovated Ronggui Diesel Engine Factory. Don't be fooled by the simple ambiance; the vibrant wok flavor will absolutely delight you.
🦐Xia Bing Seafood (Ronggui Branch)
📍Inside the 1959 Diesel Engine Factory, No. 23 Gongye Road (next to the Hengjie Badminton Hall)
⏰ 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM / 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
💰At 80 RMB per person, you can eat as much as you want! A truly value-for-money experience!
[Must-Try Menu]
🔸Signature Roast Goose: The skin is as crispy as cellophane and crackles when you bite into it! The meat is tender and juicy, perfect with plum sauce.
🔸Steamed Lobster with Garlic Sauce: Steaming the shrimp with the sides maximizes the freshness and sweetness, while the garlic aroma is tangy without overpowering the flavor.
🔸Seared Sea Eel: Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the sauce is perfectly blended.
🔸Stir-fried Shengzi (Shengzi Emperor) with Drum Sauce: A masterpiece of wok flavor! The Shengzi (Shengzi Emperor) is plump and tender, and paired with a bowl of rice, it's a true masterpiece.
Tips: The food stalls are simple, but the ingredients are fresh and the flavors are authentic. As they can get very crowded during mealtimes, it's best to avoid them. Parking is limited at the entrance, so taxis are more convenient. Shunde cuisine truly captures this authentic flavor!
