[Yamanashi] The famous torii gate in the sky overlooking Mt. Fuji! World Heritage Site🗻Kawaguchi Asama Shrine⛩

Hello, I'm a person who often visits temples and shrines, and this is my fourth goshuincho! Recently, I did a quick calculation and realized that I've visited 150 temples and shrines 🙃I'd like to introduce Kawaguchi Asama Shrine, a World Heritage site that is perfect for visiting after enjoying the spectacular autumn scenery at Oishi Park ⛩
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 𖤣𖥧𖥣𖡡𖥧𖤣 ┈┈⛩What is Kawaguchi Asama Shrine? The deity worshipped is Konohana Sakuyahime, also known as Asama-no-Okami! It is said to have begun the year after the historic eruption of Mt. Fuji in 864, when an imperial decree was issued to worship Asama-no-Okami, the god of Mt. Fuji, and a fire-extinguishing ceremony was held 😌The grounds contain numerous cultural assets, including the Seven Cedars, a natural monument 🌳It is also a component part of a World Heritage site!
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 𖤣𖥧𖥣𖡡𖥧𖤣 ┈┈About the Torii in the Sky that you often see on SNS⛩Apart from the shrine with the main hall and the gift shop, there is also a Fujisan remote worship site [Torii in the Sky]. This is a popular spot because you can take fantastic photos, as it is called Torii in the Sky
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈🚗Access to Torii in the Sky┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈It is about a 30-minute walk from Kawaguchi Asama Shrine. You have to climb up, so it may be quite difficult to walk😭The road is narrow, so it is also a bit difficult to go by car. There is no parking lot❌
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⚠️Points to note about the Torii of the Sky┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈The Torii of the Sky is on private property and there are various rules...! ❶ A contribution of 100 yen is required💰Payment is by cash only! Although it is called a contribution, it is almost an entrance fee, so please prepare it! ❷ Advance application and usage fee are required for commercial and wedding photography❸ The shooting time is 3 minutes⏰When we took photos in front of the Torii of the Sky, there was someone who was timing us and counting the 3 minutes👀For some reason, the time was not measured when we took the photos, but it may be a good idea to decide the composition beforehand! ❹ No entry after sunset
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 𖤣𖥧𖥣𖡡𖥧𖤣 ┈┈ Kawaguchi Asama Shrine Attractions 👀✅ It is a power spot for matchmaking and love fulfillment, with the Seven Cedars, which are said to bring good luck in finding a partner! ✅ It is said to have the good luck of protecting the country from disasters and other things, based on the story of its founding ✅ There are other wonderful places besides the main shrine, such as Haha no Shirataki and Mount Fuji Worship Site [Torii in the Sky]!
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ 𖤣𖥧𖥣𖡡𖥧𖤣 ┈┈aynaa's comment💬The grounds are quiet and solemn🙆♀️The large cedar trees are a wonderful place. You can also get a temple seal🫶Maybe because of the timing of our visit, the main hall was very empty, but we had to queue for a while before we could take a photo of the sky torii gate🙃We went by car, but most people came on foot, which I thought was amazing😳It's quite a climb, so I imagine it's quite hard walking...!
