Visit the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum

From JR Kawaguchiko Station, take the red line sightseeing bus and get off at stop number 15. I was lucky enough to catch a performance in the concert hall, where an opera was sung live, but the music was played by a century-old automatic musical instrument. The host mentioned that playing violin pieces on this machine is the most challenging, and I was fortunate to witness it. The museum grounds are not very large, but the buildings have a charming European style, and there are many varieties of roses. The beautiful setting, overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, makes it a worthwhile visit if you have the time.
