🌧️ Hidden Mt. Fuji view from the garden room, but the wine lounge and taiko drum performance make it worth the stay 🍷🥁✨
Although the weather was less than ideal on the day of our stay, with overcast skies and light drizzle, we missed the chance to see Mt. Fuji 🥲. Our room type was a garden view room, but the overall experience was still outstanding, with many highlights worth recommending!
🛏️ The room was incredibly spacious, with a strong Japanese aesthetic. The tatami-style room featured wooden sliding doors, creating a serene and clean environment that brought peace of mind. Guests could freely choose their preferred yukata style for photos, adding a chill vibe.
🧖♀️ While there was no Mt. Fuji view, the onsen facilities were equally delightful. The open-air bath offered a great sense of space, providing ultimate relaxation after soaking. There were various temperature options to suit different preferences.
🍷 The biggest surprise was the Wine Lounge! At night, guests could sample a variety of wines, including red, white, and sparkling wines produced in Yamanashi Prefecture. The selection was diverse, the quality was decent, and the atmosphere was relaxed—perfect for wine lovers!
🥁 The evening entertainment was also fantastic! There was a live taiko drum performance that was incredibly thrilling and energizing 🔥. Afterwards, there was a Bingo Game, which was highly interactive and brought together many guests for a warm and joyful atmosphere 🎉.
🍱 Dinner featured authentic kaiseki cuisine, with beautifully presented dishes and commendable flavors. Although the staff's English was limited, they made every effort to explain each dish, showing genuine dedication 🫶.
Breakfast was buffet-style with a wide variety of options!
🌟 Summary:
Even without seeing Mt. Fuji, the overall experience at Shōzangyuan was incredibly rich. The combination of the wine lounge, taiko drum performance, and onsen made it well worth a visit! If the weather is good, it would be even more amazing, and I’d love to return to try the Mt. Fuji view room 🌸🍷✨
