Ryugu-ji Temple: An attractive building with a sense of history

This is a not-so-large temple located along Taihaku-dori, just a short walk from Gion Station.

Tocho-ji Temple is across the street, and there are many other temples and shrines in the area, so it's a great place to stop by when touring temples and shrines.

The small hall in front of you as you enter the main gate is a wooden building, and you can feel its history, especially from the damage, texture, and dirt of the wood.

Also, there is an unusual stone monument in the back that says "Mermaid Tomb," which may be a reference to the temple's name, and it made me want to find out the origins of this temple!
