Located just about a 3-minute walk from Hakata Station, this hotel offers great convenience. I booked the cheapest Semi-Double B type room with breakfast included. During check-in, they asked if I had any preferences.
I mentioned that I knew the room had a shower booth but would prefer one with a bathtub if possible. After checking, they informed me that a Hollywood Twin room was available and upgraded me two levels. The room size didn’t increase significantly (from 15 square meters to 16 square meters).
According to the official website, the room hierarchy goes from Semi-Double B to Semi-Double A, and then to Hollywood Twin. The price difference was about 3,000 yen, but they upgraded me without any additional charge. Lucky! My room was on the 8th floor. The view directly in front was blocked by a building 🤣.
On both sides, you can see other hotels in the Hakata area, and to the right, you can catch a glimpse of the sky between the buildings. The sink is uniquely positioned near the window, which is convenient for quick touch-ups.
However, the bathroom is separated, and the bathtub is spacious, making it perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The toilet is narrow, and the spare toilet paper holder touches your knees, which can be uncomfortable. Removing it and putting it back before checkout solves the issue.
Breakfast is served on the 1st floor. During check-in, they also offer a welcome ice cream. At that time, the buffet area was closed off with a tent. I didn’t use it but peeked inside near the elevator, and during breakfast, I noticed the space was quite large.
The menu features local Fukuoka specialties like rich and flavorful motsunabe (hot pot) and generously sized mentaiko (spicy cod roe), which are enough to make the meal perfect. The sausages are in great condition, and the grilled fish is delicious. It’s a fantastic breakfast. Thank you!
