The Strings Hakata TIME NEST Halloween Afternoon Tea

This event takes place at the restaurant TIME NEST, located in the emotional café The Strings Hakata on the 11th floor of KITTE Hakata. The timing is convenient for catching a return flight at 8 PM.

Departing from Yakuin at 4 PM, I arrive in Hakata just in time for the 4:30 PM reservation. Heading up to the top floor, the 11th floor of KITTE, you’ll find the entrance to the wedding hall, and to the left is the TIME NEST restaurant. The friendly staff warmly greets you upon arrival.

Surprisingly, there are no other guests.🤣 It feels like I’ve rented out the wedding hall restaurant. This season’s theme is Halloween Monsters. I start by ordering an iced coffee and then receive the tray. The black and pink ribbon decorations add a Halloween vibe.

The Halloween theme is adorably evident in the menu. The set includes three savory items, six sweets, and two types of scones, along with unlimited drinks. The sweets here are in excellent condition.

Interestingly, the drinks are not pre-prepared as part of the set but are served as if ordered from the regular menu. For example, when I ordered the iced coffee, I could hear the espresso machine grinding beans right away. Typically, pre-made coffee is just poured over ice.

The second drink I ordered, yuzu soda, was a delightful mix of yuzu syrup and fresh yuzu, combined with bottled soda opened and mixed right in front of me. Lastly, the Darjeeling tea was brewed from loose leaves and served in a teapot, adding depth to the experience. It was a delightful time. Thank you.
