Fukuoka was a great city to enjoy on a short but fulfilling trip. The city center is charming, yet conveniently located, making getting around hassle-free. The area around Hakata Station, in particular, offers shopping, dining, and accommodations all in one place, making it an ideal base for travelers.
The most memorable experience, of course, was the ramen. The Hakata ramen I tried there was exquisite, with its rich broth and chewy noodles. The street food stalls, known as "yatai," truly immersed me in the local atmosphere. During the day, I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through Ohori Park, and then spent time shopping and exploring cafes in Tenjin.
At night, the night view of the Nakasu River was impressive. The sparkling lights reflecting on the river added a romantic touch to the city. The characteristic Japanese cleanliness and hospitality made for a relaxing overall trip, and I couldn't help but want to return.
