Experience the Obon Festival in front of Fukuoka Hakata Station 🎌

In August this year, I was lucky enough to participate in the Obon Festival in front of Hakata Station 🎊, this annual traditional festival 🏮 is one of the busiest summer celebrations in Fukuoka 🎉. As soon as you step into the square in front of JR Hakata Station💃, you will see a full lantern tower🏮, an 8-meter-high lantern tower standing in the center of the square🗼, the bright lights at night are really spectacular✨.

From August 5th until the 17th🗓️, there will be a variety of exciting performances🎭 from 5pm to 10pm every night, including taiko performances and bonsai experiences🥁. Bon dancing around the central stage 🕺 is the most exciting session, not only has the traditional "Charcoal Pit Festival" 🎵, but also incorporates modern pop music elements 🎶, attracting people of all ages to participate 👥.

There are various stalls 🏪 around the festival, including fried noodles, octopus rolls, shaved ice 🍜, and traditional games such as children's favorite skate fishing 🎣 and super ball 🔴.

The whole square is filled with a strong festive atmosphere🎪, this feeling of integrating traditional culture with modern cities is really special🌸, making people feel the solemn meaning of the Japanese Obon Festival to welcome the return of the souls of ancestors🙏.

Although it is free admission🆓, the cultural value experienced is really priceless💎, recommend all friends who come to Fukuoka to come and experience this traditional summer festival🎌.
