"Forest Clock" is located within the grounds of the New Furano Prince Hotel, making it easily accessible by bus or car from Furano Station. After arriving at the hotel, a short walk along a lush forest path will lead you to a cozy cabin embraced by nature.
The surroundings are tranquil and picturesque, with each season offering its own unique charm: vibrant greenery in spring and summer, a carpet of red maple leaves in autumn, and a snowy fairytale landscape in winter. Inside, the warm wooden decor is complemented by large floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the forest scenery indoors. Bookshelves, wooden tables and chairs, and an open bar counter further enhance the immersive forest atmosphere.
The menu at "Forest Clock" features hand-drip coffee and light desserts as its highlights. Guests can grind their own coffee beans, which are then brewed by the staff, adding a ceremonial touch to the experience. Desserts such as cakes, puddings, and pies are made with Hokkaido ingredients, offering a simple yet refined taste. Light meals like sandwiches and soups are also available, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon break.
While the prices are not particularly budget-friendly, they are reasonable for a destination restaurant, and the unique scenery and experience more than make up for it.
"Forest Clock" provides visitors to Furano's forested depths with a warm and relaxing time, making it hard to leave in a hurry.
