Nanping — A Slow-Paced Life in Northern Fujian Accessible by High-Speed Rail

Nanping is truly an underrated small city in northern Fujian. Let me introduce my 2-day-1-night mountain exploration journey 🧳

Day 1⃣:
🌞 Morning: Arrive at Yanping by high-speed rail, transfer to bus to Shunchang
From Fuzhou, it takes only 34 minutes by high-speed rail to Yanping Station, then transfer to a bus to Shunchang

⛰ Afternoon: 🧗 Set off for Huayang Mountain hiking adventure, climb along mountain streams, visit the three-tier waterfall cluster. Those with extra energy can challenge the Tianmen Peak observation deck. Shunchang is the "Land of the Monkey King," and Huayang Mountain has many Monkey King statues 🗿.

🌛 Evening: 🥢 Explore culinary delights in Shunchang Old Town
🥚 Intangible cultural heritage Guan Dan: Shunchang Guan Dan is a city-level intangible cultural heritage, featuring duck egg yolk wrapped around meat filling, served with a delicious aroma. Recommend "Dan Man Guan."

Depart from Shunchang to Yanping for a Citywalk ~ Experience traditional flavors and mountain city vibes

✅ Jiufeng Suspension Bridge: China's first curved steel suspension bridge spanning the Min River ~ You can feel it swaying as you walk across
✅ Jiufeng Mountain Park aerial walkway: Stroll along the walkway overlooking where the Min West Stream and Jian Stream converge to form the Min River, experiencing the "Fujian version of mini-Chongqing" with its three-dimensional mountain city landscape.
✅ Yanfu Gate Square
Where three rivers meet, view the Jianzhou Bridge + Jiufeng Mountain forming a 3D landscape painting.
✅ Qianjin Lane
Motorcycles and pedestrians dance on the slopes, with winding staircases folding the small mountain city into an "8D city."
✅ Sanyuan Lane
Look for the "Kuixing Pointing at the Big Dipper" pattern at the entrance of the alley. They say stepping on the gold-edged steps three times brings good luck~
