The entire Fuzhou East Ring Expressway is now open to traffic

On October 16, the entire Fuzhou East Ring Expressway officially opened to traffic. This project was included in the provincial expressway network plan in 2019 and is a key project for both the province and the city. It spans approximately 40.757 kilometers with a total investment of about 5.678 billion yuan. The expressway features 5 interchanges along the route, with the main line designed as a four-lane dual carriageway and a design speed of 100 km/h. It starts by connecting to the Hukun Expressway, passes through Dongxiang District, Jinxi County, and Donglin New Area, and ends at the Fuzhou East Hub connecting to the Fuzhou East Outer Ring Expressway. It is an important part of Fuzhou’s "One Ring, Five Horizontal, Five Vertical" expressway network, specifically the "One Ring," playing a significant role in expanding the city framework and integrating into the Greater Nanchang metropolitan area. However, some sections are temporarily closed due to construction controls; passing vehicles are advised to follow the signs.
