A Day by the Sea, A Day in the Mountains

On the first day in Gangneung, as soon as I arrived at Seamarq Hotel, the vast East Sea unfolded right before my eyes. The ocean view from the room was so calming that just sitting there felt like a mental reset.

Soaking in the infinity pool while gazing at the horizon, I found my mind clearing of all clutter. A quiet stroll along the beach and spending the day entirely within the hotel was more than fulfilling.

The next day, I headed to Sokcho and made my way to Seoraksan. I took the Gwongeumseong Cable Car for a light hiking experience, and the mountain scenery on the way up was absolutely stunning. Standing on the rocks, looking down at Sokcho city and the sea, the view was beyond words.

After descending the mountain, I stopped by Sokcho Central Market for some squid sundae paired with makgeolli. Sitting by the sea and taking a moment to relax completed the perfect day.

A day by the sea, a day in the mountains. This trip was a balanced blend of serene relaxation and active exploration—a true gift to myself.
