Must-Visit Summer Spot in Gangneung: Gyeongpoho Lotus Garden

The lotus garden around Gyeongpo Lake is at its most beautiful from mid-July to early August. During your summer trip to Gangneung, we highly recommend visiting this large-scale lotus colony, which is part of a wetland ecological restoration project.

The well-maintained decks allow you to get up close to the elegant and stunning lotus flowers, making it a perfect spot for photography. The soft scenery reflected on Gyeongpo Lake at sunset is also breathtakingly beautiful.

If walking around the vast area feels daunting, consider renting a bicycle like we did to fully enjoy the Gyeongpoho Lotus Garden.
